I'd get through Gierach's books so much faster if he didn't keep putting me back on my home water or make me think about larger things at work. If this book is as good as the others, it will then get the I've-read-it-already-but-I-have-a-few-minutes place of honor in my truck glove box to be re-consumed next to rivers, at campsites or when I'm stopped by trains.
