Gear Review - Anchor super soft split shot

I bought some Anchor split shot because it was a bit cheaper and I got a ton for the price. The lead is super soft as advertised, but even soft application of pressure with anything solid deformed the lead. Not all the lead is cut with precision and some are so shallow the shot doesn't stay on long at all. The four-compartment dispenser does not prevent split shot dumpings and mass loss of product, but does limit the disaster.To avoid the stress I encountered, a more stout lead would be the way to go. Anchor does offer these alternatives, but again, it is lead and environment-friendly products might be the way to go.
