Lower Sac Madness

The Lower Sacramento River can look overwhelming, but it is a great fishery supporting trout built like linebackers that are accessible from shore. The one below went 18.5 inches on a Micro May fly. We caught four over 17, one a season from topping 20 inches, all wading just a little past our knees. The water is down below 3500 CFS, and is fishing well. Guides from The Fly Shop and other services have been getting their clients into 20+ inch fish.
