Fairbanks Day 2

The Tanana still looked swollen but isn't where it was just after break-up. You can't help but crave an extended float trip when you drive down highways in any direction and see this. Massive flows of water sweeping across enormous land. The networks of currents, island and sand bars is incredible.Anyway, I got into some more grayling today on a lightening bug nymph under an indicator. I used my Kodak underwater camera but I don't have the cord to upload anything. The Chena is still out of control, but some smaller tributaries of the Tanana around North Pole.During the drive to Delta Junction we saw a single moose, but saw three on the way back. I could watch them all day. I was that guy who got out of his car to take pictures. One of four moose on the drive from Fairbanks to Delta Junction. Had to check out the end (or beginning, depending on which way you are headed) of the ALCAN highway. Very sweet.ALCAN Highway
