Back in black(s)

Black bearAfter 14 years of being around only in the summer, I forgot what it was like to be in Alaska during the fall. I have been terribly unproductive when it comes to writing, because after my long-term sub job ends after school, I drive to the river to catch and release really big, but really ripe silver salmon and photograph bears. They are everywhere. I pump up the country music as loud as it goes, because I don't want to come around the corner and spook one, but can't get enough of them from a distance.Once I settle into a routine I'll be able to get some handle on all the superlatives this place has again earned, but in the mean time, it's been all images.
